DATASTOR Shield™ Enterprise Protection Server (EPS)

Windows server back-up software with integrated source-side global data deduplication delivers a compelling ROI

EPS Manager

Enterprise Protection Server (EPS) offers centralized back-up with fast, simple and reliable recovery for Windows Servers, Virtual Machines and Workstations. With EPS you'll implement a strategy to effectively and efficiently centralize backups to disk storage at your own pace, according to your needs. Agent-less deployment means the powerful source-side deduplication engine is automatically installed on demand to remote clients which eliminates downtime for software upgrades. The modern user interface makes creating backup tasks and restoring data easy. For security, data replication ensures a set of data is off-site in the event of a major disaster.

Capability for protecting your SQL and Exchange databases is included. Multi-stage data verification and flexible data retention options ensure you preserve data according to your company policies. Email reporting provides a snapshot of the health of all your backup tasks. Your data is stored on the hardware of your choice without the need to buy a specific storage platform.

  • Remote Server License (EPS-SVR)
  • Remote Virtual Machine Server License (EPS-VMS)
  • Remote Workstation License (EPS-WKS)

One license is required per server, virtual machine, or workstation. There’s no extra software to install. The EPS Manager automatically discovers servers, virtual machines, and workstations to back up. A scheduled task is installed on the client and deduplication starts, eliminating redundant data at the source to minimize server storage requirements. Only new or changed data is transferred to server storage, reducing the backup window while avoiding unnecessary bandwidth use of your network connection.
